The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in working full-time, and focused on excellent patient care. This position is primarily split between clinic and inpatient rounding, with options and opportunities to be in the OR. The team includes six Neurosurgeons and thirteen advanced practice providers. Schedule: Four-day work week with rotating weekends to equal a total of 40 hours per week. EPIC EMR is utilized system-wide. We know how fast the world of healthcare is changing, and we push ourselves to stay ahead of the curve. The UCHealth Medical Group is physician led and employs nearly 1,600 physicians and advanced practice providers who aim to anticipate and address patients\' every health need. This position will be open for a minimum of 3 days and will remain open until a top candidate is identified. We are unable to support visa candidates for this position. Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in neurosurgery settings Clinic and inpatient rounding with potential OR involvement Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other APPs to deliver comprehensive care Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and workflow Requirements For Physician Assistants Master\'s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in Colorado PA-C certification (NCCPA) required for hire and maintained throughout employment Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications commonly prescribed in practice Eligible to provide services with Medicare/Medicaid and provider status No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA List Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges Prescriptive authority as appropriate per medical staff privileging BLS certification from AHA or ARC Requirements For Nurse Practitioners Full or provisional prescriptive authority eligibility; must apply for prescriptive authority as a condition of employment Master\'s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program ANCC or AANPCB certification required for hire and maintained throughout employment Unrestricted NP license or multi-state compact privileges Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications commonly prescribed in practice Eligible for Medicare/Medicaid services and provider status No sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA List BLS certification from AHA or ARC Benefits Competitive compensation package; pay range noted above Annual Quality Value Incentive Program (QVIP) up to $10,000 Relocation bonus up to $10,000, if eligible Paid malpractice CME allowance up to $3,500 and up to 5 days annually 403(b) with employer matching; 457(b) option if eligible Comprehensive health/vision/dental/life/disability benefits PSLF program eligibility with UCHealth assistance STD/LTD coverage options and voluntary LTD Wellness benefits and voluntary benefits (FSA/HSA, identity protection, etc.) PTO, family and medical leave, and other leave benefits Tuition assistance/education benefits for eligible employees About UCHealth UCHealth is a nonprofit health system delivering high-quality medical care with patient-centered experiences.
