100% FTE, 10-12 hour day shifts rotating with team, Monday through Friday. Future weekend rotation required.
As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.
We are seeking a
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
to:
Provide care to pediatric clinical and research neurosurgery patients at the American Family Children’s Hospital.
Work in collaboration with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.
Perform inpatient rounding and discharge planning for pediatric neurosurgery patients. Occasional assistance with outpatient telephone follow up, patient support and prior authorization duties may be required.

Education Minimum –
If Nurse Practitioner:
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
If Physician Assistant:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner*
Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Pediatric Acute Care
If Physician Assistant*
Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
Active PA board certification
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*
Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
