The Technology and Engineering Center of America (TEC-A) is seeking an eager and innovative Product Development Project Manager to join our experienced team! This is an on-site position based at Sony Electronics U.S. Headquarters in San Diego, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads or coordinates cross-functional project/program teams from design to delivery of fully developed products or features that are ready for customer use.
Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes or resource additions.
Investigates facts and develops solutions to problems during the design and planning phases.
Provides timely and accurate information and status updates to functional leaders.
May be responsible for feasibility studies and field trials management
Conduct Accessibility Reviews, risk management, and user testing with people with disability
Understanding Accessibility technologies and regulations.
Organize events both internally and externally
Create social Media content in regards to products and services with Accessibility features
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
1+ years of relevant project management experience
Knowledge of Accessibility programs such as CVAA
Understanding of Accessibility features
Understanding of WCAG is a plus
Knowledge of Accessibility Advocacy groups
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Preferred Education/Experience:
Understanding of the Americans with Disability Act and the Twenty-First Century Communication and Video Accessibility Act
Travel Requirement:
Up to 25% of the time, utilizing an automobile, plane, and/or public transportation (includes ride-share)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to effectively operate a digital computer system (e.g., computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.) 70% of the time.
Ability to compose written communications (e.g., emails, messages) and documents either via writing, typing, text-to-speech dictation, or other methods.
Ability to access, understand, and apply information from written or digital materials.
Proficient in verbal communication and hearing (with or without hearing aid or other accommodation) to interact effectively in person, via voice or video calls, or other device-based communication methods, or during in-person meetings.
Sufficient visual acuity to meet specialized job requirements, with or without corrective lens.
Ability to easily distinguish between different colors.
Ability to perform tasks requiring a high degree of physical coordination, mobility, and balance, such as operating specialized equipment or climbing ladders. This may also involve activities such as bending, twisting, reaching, stretching, climbing, crouching, or squatting 10% of the time.
Ability to perform tasks that require precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, such as assembly or repair work involving detailed manual manipulation.
Ability to lift and carry items, with the weight and frequency varying based on the employees' job functions, with or without support gears and equipment.
Ability to carry out job related physical activities for an extended period of time (e.g., working at a computer station, attending an off-site meeting, working with machinery, etc.)
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $27.59 - $36.78 per hour. The actual base pay rate offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This range does not include any other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. This position provides select employer-provided benefits, including healthcare insurance.
