The Aspen location will feature: 42 seats in the bar and dining room 60 seats on a fully climatized outdoor patio 12 seats in a lower-level speakeasy/private dining room Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and room service Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and visionary Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations of LoLa 41 Aspen, located within the prestigious White Elephant Hotel. This is a rare opportunity to help open a restaurant from the ground up, build a talented brigade, and shape the culinary identity of one of Aspen’s most anticipated dining destinations. The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen — from pre-opening setup and menu execution to team leadership, cost control, and operational excellence. This individual will report directly to the General Manager and collaborate with corporate leadership to maintain LoLa 41’s reputation for exceptional cuisine and service. Key Responsibilities

Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of the culinary team. Manage all aspects of kitchen preopening, including menu development, organization, scheduling, and staff onboarding. Identify, negotiate, and build relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers. Oversee procurement of food, materials, and operating supplies. Establish and maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hospitality in all culinary offerings. Collaborate with the General Manager to uphold excellence across the operation. Responsible for financial performance of the culinary department, including budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and food cost control. Implement and manage systems via Restaurant 365 and other technology platforms. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations (HACCP). Maintain the physical condition and cleanliness of the kitchen facilities. Build and sustain a motivating, inclusive, and high-performing team environment through strong communication and leadership. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience. Proven track record in restaurant openings (preferred). Prior experience in Aspen or similar resort markets strongly preferred. Expertise in Asian cuisine and sushi preparation, as well as global culinary techniques. Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage food and labor costs effectively. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure. Skilled in training, mentoring, and team development. Proficient in Restaurant 365, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Dropbox, and related tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with ownership. Why Join LoLa 41
