Overview
Summary Of Work: Join the Office of State Tax Commissioner\'s IT team, where you will collaborate with teammates to maintain and enhance our integrated tax system and related applications. Make a real-world impact by improving internal processes and enhancing external applications that directly affect citizen experiences and interactions with our office.
Responsibilities
Develop, modify and maintain programs. Programming languages are primarily C#, VB.NET, and SQL.
Monitor the operation of assigned programs and respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding.
Gather user requirements for both enhancements and corrections. Perform analysis, design, testing, implementation, and training related to the changes you develop.
Monitor job streams to ensure successful completion, resolve errors, research database and programming improvements.
Utilize SQL Server Management Studio to develop queries for utilization in reports, adhocs, datacubes, and within programming requests.
This is an on-site position with potential to transition to a hybrid position after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period. Applicants seeking a fully remote position will not be considered.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in a computer field; OR Associate\'s degree in a computer field and 2 years of relevant work experience; OR 4 years of relevant work experience AND
Programming knowledge in VB.NET, C#, or other object-oriented programming language; AND
Database knowledge in SQL Server or other relational database systems.
