Unit Manager | STAFF SERVICES MANAGER I (JC-496276) | Employment Development Department (EDD) Location: Sacramento County — Telework: Hybrid (subject to business needs) Work Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm; Work Week: Monday – Friday Salary: $7,172.00 – $8,910.00 Position status: Permanent, Full Time; New state candidates hired at the minimum of the classification or alternate range when applicable. Overview
The manager of the Program Performance Unit applies project management fundamentals to manage projects and staff to support one of the nation’s largest unemployment benefit programs. This position emphasizes data collection, trend analysis, and performance measures, with duties including leadership in a UI program coordinating with Federal and State entities. Responsibilities
Lead projects and supervise staff within the Program Performance Unit. Oversee data collection, trend analysis, and performance measurement. Prepare concise data reports and present findings in meetings with stakeholders. Represent the UI program with Federal and State entities as needed. Support a culture of outstanding service, teamwork, integrity, and work-life balance. Qualifications and Skills
Experience managing large-scale projects with significant organizational impact. Strong judgment, accountability, and staff development abilities. Effective written and oral communication; ability to convey complex data clearly. Ability to function as a lead manager or representative of the UI program. Knowledge of data collection, trend analysis, and performance metrics. Department Information
