District Support Pharmacist FT at CVS Health Job purpose and summary: CVS Health is transforming health care and serving patients with heart. District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy worked by acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. DSPs cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and Rx District Leader, supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team across stores in the district. Responsibilities

Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled; overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation Assumes Pharmacy Manager’s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to do the same, and proactively resolving insurance and/or medication issues Offering and delivering immunizations and coaching Pharmacists and Technicians to learn immunization delivery Supporting inventory management with a focus on protecting cold chain products Maintaining flexibility for scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe and inclusive team dynamic Maintaining clinical and technical skills and completing required trainings and CMEs Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible (e.g., testing and prescribing services) and empowering the pharmacy team to provide holistic care Understanding and complying with applicable federal/state laws, professional standards, CVS Health policies, and maintaining patient privacy and security Qualifications

Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list Essential Functions

Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs, ensure prescription accuracy Customer service and team orientation: proactively help people in a friendly manner Communication skills: clear verbal and written communication, active listening Mathematical reasoning: compute days supply, pill counts, and labeling quantities Problem resolution: identify and address challenging interactions Physical demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, and visual acuity as described for pharmacy roles Additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager Preferred Qualifications
