Ranked Band 1 by Chambers Global for its work worldwide, the tax practice covers all aspects of tax planning and transactions, dispute resolution, tax policy, transfer pricing, indirect taxes and wealth management tax advice and planning. Responsibilities
Advise a diverse range of clients on the structuring of domestic and cross-border investments in various asset classes, private investment offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Draft and negotiate related contracts and investment documents; draft memoranda and opinions on current, complex US tax issues. Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups and countries in a dynamic environment. Qualifications
3–7 years of relevant tax experience in areas such as real estate taxation (including REITs, qualified opportunity zones and 1031 like-kind exchanges), private equity (including fund formation, carried interest structures and M&A), partnership tax and joint ventures, energy (including tax credit monetization transactions), and family office structuring. Top academic credentials. An LLM in taxation is not required but may be favorably considered. Admitted to and in good standing with the local bar of the office to which the candidate is applying.
