About the Role VHG Group is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher Director to teach its newest bilingual (French & English) center in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. This center serves children between the ages of 3 months and 2 years old in a warm, nurturing, and academically enriching environment.

The Teacher Director will provide classroom leadership, oversee curriculum implementation, ensure licensing and safety compliance, and foster strong family engagement. This role also involves collaborating with staff to maintain consistent care standards.

The Early Childhood Teacher Director will report directly to the Senior Director.

This is a full-time, in-person role based in Brooklyn.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate daily lesson plans and activities for infants and toddlers.

Ensure a safe, supporting, and stimulating bilingual learning environment.

Lead classroom instruction and model best practices for teaching staff.

Partner with families through regular communication about child development and progress.

Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and assessments.li

Oversee compliance with New York State early childhood licensing and health / safety regulations.

Contribute to ongoing program evaluation and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (required).

NYS Early Childhood or Elementary Teaching Certification (preferred).

Minimum of 2 years of classroom experience with infants and / or toddlers.

Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.

Commitment to providing an engaging and inclusive environment.

French language skills highly valuable but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
