Tecan is a global life science, biotechnology, and MedTech company. This key role sits with our team in Morgan Hill, a quick reverse commute of ~15 minutes driving south from the south San Jose area. HR Administrator Summary. As an HR Administrator for the Tecan HR Americas team, you will play a key role in supporting the HR team with a strong emphasis on HR systems and data management. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting HR processes, and ensuring the effective use of HR technology to drive efficiency and compliance across the Americas region. This role is a six-month temporary role with the possibility of becoming an employee. Responsibilities
HR Systems Management: Serve as the primary contact for HR Information Systems (HRIS) within the Americas team, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with Tecan’s global and local policies. Maintain and update employee records, organizational structures, and workflows in the HRIS. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports from HR systems to support business needs and HR analytics. Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT or external vendors for resolution. Support the implementation of new HR technologies and system upgrades in collaboration with global HR and IT teams. HR Administration: Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all documentation and system entries are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain digital and physical personnel files in accordance with legal and Tecan requirements. Support payroll processing by ensuring accurate and timely data entry in HR systems. Respond to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and systems. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes through better use of technology and automation. Participate in HR projects and initiatives, particularly those related to digital transformation and process optimization. Administrative: assist the VP of HR - Americas with administrative assistant duties (Calendar, basic reports and scheduling team meetings). Your Background
Proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Assistant, or similar role, with a strong focus on HR systems. Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle, BambooHR, etc.). Excellent data management and reporting skills; advanced proficiency in MS Excel is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
