As a cloud computing application architect, you will create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. You will work on data modernization initiatives supporting Public Health networks and help develop cloud-based solutions for some of Public Health’s toughest data modernization efforts. As a leader on our team, you’ll design, implement, and manage cloud services, architect environments for clients to develop their solutions, and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of on‑premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll guide your team as they help clients overcome challenges in the cloud and share your skills in cloud-based solutions, automation, and integrations to identify improvements with your team and clients for the Public Health network. 7+ years of experience with configuration cloud administrative environments and tools, and building enterprise platforms Experience architecting and building enterprise applications deployed in AWS Experience building and designing secure, cloud-based architecture while adhering to development methodologies, engineering, and cloud standards Experience developing with .NET, Entity Framework, and SQL, and working with multiple cloud service providers, including Azure, AWS, or on‑premises integrations Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting IaaS environments Experience with CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions Experience deploying applications in Linux or Unix-based environments, and writing shell scripts and commands Experience providing detailed guidance to engineering team members creating and operating cloud environments Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have
Experience developing cost management and optimization recommendations for client organizations Experience with CDC administrative processes and procedures Master’s degree in CS Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification Vetting
