Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of engineering experience, or a Master’s Degree with 6 years of engineering experience, or a PhD with 2 years of engineering experience.
A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in functional management.
US Citizenship is mandatory.
An active Top Secret / SCI security clearance is essential and must be active by the start date, continuing throughout the employment period.
Proven experience with enterprise architectures including Windows Server, RHEL, virtualization, and storage technologies.
Working knowledge of containerization, automation, and Software Defined Networking (SDN).
Responsibilities Management Duties (20%)
Leading and guiding cyber systems engineers, including IT and software professionals.
Setting objectives and monitoring yearly progress of your team.
Overseeing the workload of your direct reports, ensuring accountability.
Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring top engineering talent.
Offering timely and constructive feedback to your team members.
Conducting performance evaluations of your staff.
Motivating team members and engaging with them on a regular basis.
Mentoring and facilitating career growth for each team member.
Coordinating training initiatives for your team.
Providing necessary tools and resources for development activities.
Technical Program Support Responsibilities (80%)
Leading engineering teams in designing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise-level cyber systems.
Staffing programs effectively for optimal execution.
Giving technical direction and mentorship to project teams.
Engaging in programs, proposals, and internally funded projects in a leadership or technical capacity.
Executing risk‑mitigation strategies.
Engaging in strategic problem‑solving.
Implementing earned value management techniques.
Driving technical execution using best practices in secure development, automation, and network design.
Contributing to DevOps strategy and process improvement efforts.
Managing Cost Account Management (CAM) and Risk Management activities as applicable.
Collaborating with peers and leadership to ensure optimal resource allocation and mission alignment.
Supporting deployment pipelines using the Atlassian suite and other CI/CD toolsets.
Automating routine tasks and enhancing system efficiency through scripting and scheduling.
