Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy by acting as a role model for all, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for their pharmacy team. Responsibilities
Lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Support program awareness, onboard newly hired pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. Demonstrate best practices while bench-working, including quarterbacking the team, providing patients with meaningful counseling, and abiding by all legal and regulatory guidelines. Direct and effective management of the pharmacy team, including: Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts and coaching to improve performance measures Ensuring safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration with the patient’s healthcare team, and resolving insurance or medication issues Delivering immunizations and supporting technicians to learn immunization skills Managing pharmacy inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products Conducting onboarding for Technicians and Pharmacists, including training on CVS workflow and tracking training/licensure Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate as needed Partnering with Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure training for licensure Oversight of Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists where applicable; deliver annual performance reviews Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; manage pharmacy scheduling Review business reporting and develop action plans to close gaps in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Establish a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; solicit feedback and take action Maintain clinical and technical skills; pursue opportunities to expand knowledge Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing services where permissible) Understand and comply with relevant laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; maintain patient privacy and safe dispensing practices Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Skills and Capabilities
Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs, ensure label accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: help others, respond to patient reactions with empathy Communication: verbal and written interaction with patients and colleagues; active listening Mathematical Reasoning: determine days’ supply, quantities, and labeling Problem Resolution: address challenging interactions and choose best actions Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, fine motor tasks, visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs as needed Team Management and Leadership: lead by example, delegate, coach, provide feedback, and foster collaboration Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service Ability to work in the home store and across the market as needed Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $70.00 - $88.00 This pay range represents base pay for all positions in the job grade; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
