Our Pharmacy Managers lead and develop a pharmacy team to provide exceptional patient care, promote best practices, and manage performance while ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities
Lead and develop a pharmacy team to deliver safe, effective patient care; model genuine care and set high standards for the team Onboard newly hired pharmacy staff and recognize colleagues for success Provide patient counseling, quarterback the team, and follow all applicable laws and regulatory guidelines Manage pharmacy operations during bench shifts; coach and follow up to improve performance Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following workflow procedures and safety guardrails Deliver immunizations when permissible; identify and support Pharmacy Technicians in immunization activities Manage inventory with a focus on protecting cold chain products Lead onboarding for technicians and pharmacists, including CVS workflow training and licensure tracking Ensure operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed Partner with Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure timely training for licensure Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists; conduct performance reviews and address gaps Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; manage pharmacy scheduling Review business reporting to identify gaps and develop action plans for workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Create a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; encourage feedback and take action Maintain clinical and technical skills; pursue trainings and CMEs to support patient care Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical services where permissible Understand and comply with federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS Health policies; ensure privacy and safe dispensing Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and focus; ability to concentrate and pivot between tasks Strong customer service and team orientation; empathetic patient interactions Communication skills for interaction with patients and colleagues Mathematical reasoning for dispensing calculations and inventory management Problem resolution and conflict management Physical demands including mobility, lifting, reaching, typing, and vision requirements Team management and leadership – delegate tasks, empower team members, provide feedback, and maintain standards Additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service Ability to work in the home store and across markets as needed Anticipated Weekly Hours

The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is $65.00 - $82.00 per hour This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade. Actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors. Eligible for CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive programs in addition to base pay. Benefits
