Payroll Specialist (Part-Time, In-Office – Sparks, NV). Join the Road and Highway Builders Team. We are seeking a detail-oriented payroll professional to support end-to-end payroll processing for 200+ employees across multiple states and unions. Work Schedule
The work schedule for this position is: Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Key Responsibilities
Process weekly, multistate, and union payroll for 200+ employees Review and collect timecards for accuracy Prepare and submit certified payroll and prevailing wage reports Manage tax payments and reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) Handle garnishments, child support, and other payroll deductions Administer collective bargaining agreements and union reporting Support compliance audits and maintain accurate payroll records Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring
High school diploma required; 4+ years of related experience preferred Experience calculating pay adjustments for overtime, time off, etc. Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset when assisting employees with payroll questions Construction industry experience in payroll is required Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices Experience with Viewpoint or another major ERP system is highly desirable Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion Equal Opportunity Employer
