Salary: $32.15 - $48.23 Hourly; $66,880 - $100,320 Annually. This position is a Pay Band C9.

Why does the job exist? Manage the administration of Human Resources Transactions, Classification Actions, Compensation Actions, Recruitment, Payroll, Labor Management, Unemployment claims, EEOC complaints, Worker's Compensation and Benefits while providing ongoing guidance and consultation to all levels of Public Health Division management.
How does it get done? This position will directly supervise the Human Resource Staff within the Program Support Bureau of the Public Health Division and will provide management and oversight to the Public Health Division's Human Resources operations which supports approximately 800+ FTE and ten (10) Human Resource support personnel in the Regions and Bureaus within the Public Health Division. This position will track all incoming requests on department tracker to ensure all tasks are followed through. Prepare reports for upper management as needed and attend and participate in department meetings.
Who are the customers? All PHD staff including management/supervision and HR Field Support.
Ideal Candidate
Experience interpreting the State Personnel Rules and Regulations
Good decision and recommendations on all aspects of Labor Relations, Grievances and disciplinary actions

Ability to be flexible with work assignments
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any related field and four (4) years of experience in training, staff development, designing courses, producing instructional aides/materials, human resource operations, recruitment, selection, payroll, compensation, and benefits administration and/or occupational analysis.
Two (2) years of supervisory experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of this classification.
Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling eight (8) years, to include two (2) years of supervisory experience, may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Working Conditions Office setting. Sitting for long periods of time viewing computer monitor. Repetitive hand movement. Standing, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs. Use of computer, copier and telephone.
