Why does the job exist?

Provide routine collection and cleaning of data. This position will produce data for the Environmental Health Epidemiology Bureau, primarily the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program. This position will also apply advanced research and/or management analysis to support more complex data analyses for the surveillance of childhood lead data (and other reportable environmental conditions) and provide coordination with computer systems personnel. How does it get done?

Produce blood lead data records that have complete information (patient's name, address, phone number, clinic name and number, lab results) and can be entered into the Healthy Homes Lead Poisoning Surveillance System (HHLPSS). This position will also apply advanced research and/or management analysis to support more complex data analyses for the surveillance of childhood lead data as well as other reportable environmental conditions, and provide coordination with computer systems personnel. Minimum Qualification Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting and one (1) year of directly related job experience in the areas of office administration, budgeting, purchasing, finance, accounting, auditing, cash management, contract management, and/or in the procedures of business and management principles involved in strategic planning. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling three (3) years may substitute for the required education and experience. Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment. Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to twenty-five (25) pounds may be required. Some travel with occasional overnight stay may be required. Supplemental Information
