Grant Implementation and Safety Program Support: Assist Project Managers in implementing tasks for multiple highway safety grants including CPS, FOPC, and FTSRC projects. Coordinate CPS Technician and Instructor training events, certification renewals, and resource distribution. Manage logistics and documentation for Florida Occupant Protection Coalition meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-up tasks. Develop and maintain databases related to participants, coalition members, and stakeholders. Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Provide customer service and technical assistance to statewide safety partners. Deliver presentations at FOPC meetings and other statewide safety events to promote program updates and highlight accomplishments. Inventory Management and Resource Distribution: Track and fulfill orders for educational materials and car seat distribution under the CPS grant. Coordinate procurement, shipping, and inventory for FTSRC resources. Maintain inventory databases and ensure timely replenishment and reporting accuracy. Work with vendors and carriers to support statewide distribution of traffic safety materials. Training and Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for CPS certification and renewal trainings, instructor workshops, and FOPC events. Serve as onsite or virtual event coordinator for meetings, conferences, and workshops. Manage registration systems, evaluations, and post-event documentation. Maintain training equipment and ensure compliance with NHTSA and Safe Kids certification standards. Outreach: Represent UF-T2 and FTSRC at community and statewide safety events. Distribute educational materials and promote occupant protection campaigns (e.g., Click It or Ticket, CPS Week). Assist in maintaining program websites and social media with current event and safety resource information. Deliver presentations at statewide safety events and conferences to promote occupant protection awareness. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a relevant area and two years of experience in transportation safety, public health education, or program coordination. Experience coordinating events, training, and outreach programs related to highway safety. Experience with database systems and grant reporting. Knowledge of NHTSA occupant protection initiatives, Safe Kids CPS certification system, and Florida occupant protection programs. Certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician or Instructor, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire. Experience with stakeholder coordination and meeting facilitation. Strong organizational, reporting, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with FDOT, law enforcement, and other traffic safety partners. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, database management, and website content management. Salary : $48,000-$55,000; commensurate with education and experience. Application Instructions
