A growing manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a
detail-oriented and QuickBooks-savvy Staff Accountant
to join its Finance & Accounting team. This position is ideal for someone with strong general accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and a passion for process efficiency and accuracy. Base pay
$75,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Manage daily accounting activities in
QuickBooks , including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing. Ensure timely and accurate
bi-weekly payments , including vendor disbursements, cash management, and booking of cash receipts. Maintain and reconcile
general ledger accounts , ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Conduct detailed
account analysis and reconciliations
to identify and resolve variances. Assist with
insurance renewals, surveys, and related administrative tasks . Utilize advanced
Excel functions
(PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting) to create and maintain financial reports, models, and dashboards. Support
process automation
initiatives through Excel-based tools and other system enhancements. Contribute to
month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes , including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Assist with
audit inquiries
and documentation requests. Manage and reconcile
intercompany transactions , including billing subsidiaries for shared expenses or services. Perform
intercompany reconciliations
and ensure accurate elimination and consolidation entries. Calculate and record
interest on intercompany loans and balances , ensuring proper documentation and alignment with internal agreements. Complete
ad-hoc financial analyses and reconciliations
as needed. Qualifications
