Wood is currently searching for an experienced Subsea Inspector to work offshore and onshore on contract, supporting a variety of projects. Field Engineering & Inspection Solutions is a dynamic business area, and we require an Inspector to support our versatile market. The contract is expected to last 24 months. The role is best suited to independent contractors open to a contract for one year or more. The ideal candidate will have experience in the offshore oil & gas industry, subsea inspections, and be open to working from a vessel or at the remote operations center in Houston for multiple weeks.
Currently, we are considering qualified candidates, or those authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood.

Responsibilities
Visually inspect various topside and subsea oil and gas industry components both on and offshore, under the direct supervision of an Inspection Operations Lead or Project Manager
Carry out offshore inspection campaigns for three or more weeks at a time
Generate inspection reports congruent with client requests and applicable codes and standards
Learn and utilize NEXUS IC or equivalent software and hardware, computer-based data management system including hardware, software and troubleshooting
Conduct clear and concise live video commentary during inspection campaigns
Assist with mobilization and demobilization of inspection equipment
Assist in preparing work packs and database generation for offshore inspection campaigns and review video and reports post-campaign
Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience conducting inspection campaigns of subsea components or onshore equipment
Minimum of three years hands-on experience with subsea oil and gas components; CSWIP 3.3U / 3.4U underwater inspection qualification preferred
Knowledge and experience with traditional NDE methodologies (UT, MT, etc.); strong knowledge of PC hardware/software networking preferred
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English; additional languages an asset
Willing and available to work offshore for 3 or more weeks at a time
Must have (or obtain within 14 days) offshore HSSE requirements (e.g., BOSIET/HUET, TWIC) and pass a background check and DOT drug screening
Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs or more to assist in mobilization/demobilization of campaigns
