The Family Medicine Physician will care for the physical, mental and emotional well-being of patients and their families, serving adults and children (age 5 to senior adults). Family practitioners are trained to treat the whole person and coordinate care with specialty physicians and other team members. The family doctor is an important part of the multispecialty team and often coordinates care with other providers. In many cases, a referral from a family doctor is not necessary to schedule an appointment with a Kelsey-Seybold specialist.
Responsibilities
See patients in an outpatient setting Monday–Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including new patients and corporate physicals Participate in the Family Medicine Call group; on-call about once per month (weekday or weekend). Weekend calls are shared with another physician and involve answering patient calls Conduct annual physicals and wellness exams Provide preventive medicine and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care
Required Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD, DO) Accredited Family Medicine Residency training Licensed or willing to be licensed in the State of Texas Board Certified or Board Eligible Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $226,000 to $366,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. Pay varies with experience, local labor markets, and metrics achievement. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution, and more, subject to eligibility requirements.
