Jacksonville State University’s Lyons & Company, Inc. Department of Management and Marketing invites applications for a tenure-track position for Assistant Professor of Marketing. The nine-month tenure-track position has an anticipated start date of January 5, 2026. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, with opportunities for concentration in Human Resources, Management Information Systems, or Entrepreneurship, and various interdisciplinary electives. The college seeks an assistant professor who will contribute to teaching, scholarly activity, and service to the university and broader community. The position is located in Jacksonville, AL (Main Campus) and is within the College of Business and Industry.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and service to both the university and broader community.
Qualifications
Candidates Must Possess Ph.D., DBA, or ABD in fields such as Marketing, Business Administration with concentration in Marketing, or closely related disciplines by starting date. Marketing teaching experience at the college level (e.g., as teaching assistant, adjunct, or instructor) Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student mentoring Demonstrated potential for scholarly publications and research activities Evidence of successful curriculum development and innovation Experience leading student organizations and research presenting with students both in undergraduate and graduate programs Experience with marketing and marketing lab experience Industry experience in Marketing and digital marketing
The Preferred Candidate Will Possess Earned Ph.D. or ABD from an AACSB accredited University Industry experience in Marketing and selling, sales force training Experience with online and hybrid course delivery Track record of securing external funding or grants Experience with program assessment and accreditation processes Additional professional certifications (American Marketing Association) Experience with Marketing software and simulation tools
