Brentwood Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Department. This position supports all accounting functions of the Club — including payroll, accounts payable, and member billing — and works closely with our Director of Finance and management team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative, member-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
Payroll & HR Support
- Process bi-weekly payroll and review timecards for accuracy.
- Track PTO, benefit changes, and process new hires and rehires.
- Calculate and pay out tips, bonuses, and golf lesson commissions.
- Manage employee files and ensure accurate data entry across BUZ, ADP, and Employee Navigator. Soon to be Paycom instead of ADP.
- Support 401(k) and HSA reporting, compliance, and payroll journal entries.
Accounts Payable
- Receive, code, and verify invoices across departments. The Club is in the process of onboarding with Ottimate A/P automation software.
- Reconcile vendor statements and prepare weekly payment runs.
- Manage company credit card transactions and auto-draft payments.
- Reconcile petty cash and prepare cash boxes for club events.
- Process new memberships, initiation fees, and monthly dues.
- Manage billing for special programs and events (MGA, Ladies’ Golf, Swim Team, Camps, etc.).
- Process weekly deposits for all membership, F&B, and golf revenues.
- Prepare recurring and installment billings and maintain accurate member records.
Accounting Support
- Assist with budget preparation and upload schedules.
- Support the annual audit and assist with reporting for tax and fuel filings.
- Maintain reconciliations, prepaid schedules, and deferred income reports.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of accounting or payroll experience, preferably in hospitality or club operations.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and accounting software (ADP, Club Essentials, Ottimate(PlateIQ), Paycom).
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and communication skills.
- A proactive team player who values confidentiality and professionalism.
