RESEARCH STUDY TECHNICIAN, School of Medicine, Pulmonary Center We are recruiting a Research Laboratory Technician for projects on the molecular immune response to infections. The Boston University Pulmonary Center, Bosmann Lab focuses on the mechanistic understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections, including the evaluation of new therapeutic targets. The laboratory has published work such as Nature Communications 2020;11(1):4035.

Location: Boston, MA, United States

Position Type: Full-Time/Regular

Salary Grade: Grade 43

Responsibilities

Perform and assist in studies with animal models of disease (e.g., mouse survival surgery).

Conduct mouse genotyping and manage mouse breeding colonies.

Execute cell culture, immunology methods, and molecular biology techniques including ELISA, PCR, Western blotting, and lung histology.

Manage basic lab support and organization duties.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.

0 to 3 years of experience in a research laboratory setting.

Experience with animal handling, cell culture, and basic molecular biology methods is desirable.
