Located in the Sloan\'s Lake neighborhood, Odell Brewing at Sloan’s features a 10-barrel pilot brewhouse and scratch pizza kitchen. Our Taproom includes two bars with 16 Odell tap handles and a rooftop patio with spectacular views of Sloan’s Lake, Downtown Denver, and the Rocky Mountains. Position Summary :
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) partners closely with the General Manager to drive daily operational excellence, effective team leadership and outstanding guest experiences. This position manages front of house operations and acts as a liaison for kitchen needs and support. As AGM, you are responsible for ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, positive and safe food and beverage experience with short and long term goals in mind. This position is required to work Saturday-Wednesday, with flexibility to support events. Essential Functions
Guest Experiences and Hospitality Ensure the team delivers positive, welcoming and inclusive guest experiences, addressing needs in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a fun, educational and engaging atmosphere that reflects Odell Brewing Company’s brand and values. Manage ambiance, comfort and safety for all guests. Serve and sell alcohol responsibly in accordance with company and legal standards. Leadership & Team Development Assist in the hiring, training, scheduling and day-to-day management of co-workers. Cultivate a positive, supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork, communication and growth. Support and motivate co-workers to perform at their best, modeling OBC’s culture and core value of “Always Better”. Provide on-the-ground leadership and support for both Front of House and Back of House. Work collaboratively with the General Manager and Kitchen Manager to educate co-workers on brewing knowledge, beer styles, presentation, hospitality, company history, menu items and sourcing information. Operational Excellence and Change Management Serve as a pillar for growth by supporting the implementation of new initiatives, systems and operational strategies. Actively lead change management efforts during menu updates, new technology rollouts and operational transitions. Inspire adaptability and a solutions-focused mindset through clear communication and hands-on leadership. Identify opportunities for innovation and champion continuous improvement across all areas of the business. Complete tasks assigned by the General Manager accurately, efficiently and with attention to detail. Continuously seek opportunities to improve operations, increase profitability, and enhance both guest and co-worker experiences. Contribute innovative ideas to drive growth and elevate OBC’s food and beverage programs. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities Partner with the GM and KM to achieve budgetary goals through effective financial tracking, cost management, and performance analysis. Support financial functions such as approving timesheets, processing deposits, issuing guest refunds, and reconciling invoices. Assist with purchasing, inventory management, maintenance, and other operational functions as needed. Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Marketing Support Act as a strong liaison for the kitchen, maintaining a visible and supportive presence in daily operations. Coordinate creation of taproom events (ongoing and one-off) while ensuring profitable margins and community engagement. Respond to private rental inquiries in a timely manner Collaborate with Taproom Leadership and Marketing teams to develop and execute social media strategies that align with brand standards and local goals. Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working in a fast-paced environment Three years+ restaurant management experience TIPS certification required or acquired within 3 months of hire Advanced knowledge and experience with Restaurant POS System (Lightspeed Preferred) Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Illustrator Experience with strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability and quality focus Must be available to work high volume shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed This position requires flexibility and willingness to complete other duties, not listed above, as assigned Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and lifting (up to 75-lbs) Conducts work in a sitting and standing position Regular use of a computer with keyboard input Compensation
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Odell’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons. Salary Range : $60,000 – $67,000 depending on experience Benefits
