In the Division of Construction, under the general supervision of a Senior Transportation Engineer, the incumbent serves as a Construction Field Laboratory worker acting as a lead. The incumbent independently plans, organizes, and implements materials sampling and testing for State Highway Construction Projects. PARF# 04-6-0211 / JC-496552 Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Materials and Research Engineering Associate (Specialist) exam. Position located at 2525 Stanwell Drive, Suite 100, Concord, Contra Costa County. While at their base of operation, employees will work in a climate‑controlled office under artificial lighting. Employees may also travel and work outdoors and may be exposed to dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, and/or extreme heat or cold. Occasional overnight travel may be required for training and/or meetings.
