Base pay range $75,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Recruiting Manager @ SelectOne | Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development Primary Objective The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager develops, implements, and maintains programs ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role also oversees Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance for fleet safety, driver qualification, and hazardous materials transport. The EHS Manager partners with all departments to promote a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and implement corrective measures.
Lead incident investigations and follow up on corrective actions.
Manage SDS, chemical handling, and hazardous waste per RCRA requirements.
Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors.
Track and report key environmental metrics (emissions, waste, energy use).
DOT Compliance
Manage DOT compliance for commercial vehicle operations and driver qualifications.
Maintain driver and vehicle files in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Oversee HOS, Drug & Alcohol Testing, and DOT reporting compliance.
Conduct driver training on DOT safety and company policies.
Investigate DOT incidents and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field (preferred).
10+ years of EHS management experience in manufacturing, logistics, or transportation.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT (FMCSA) regulations.
Proven experience with audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
CSP, CHMM, or similar certification preferred.
Experience with DOT compliance systems (ELDs, driver logs); defensive driving trainer a plus.
Work Conditions Combination of office and field work across warehouse, manufacturing, and transportation sites.
Travel up to 50% within NY and PA. Must meet PPE and health assessment requirements.
Salary Range $75,000 to $90,000, depending on experience + monthly car allowance
