Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer

Base pay range $102,900.00/yr - $135,075.00/yr
Role Summary We’re looking for an experienced, high-energy HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
Location Available at any location in the United States; ideally near a Jacobs U.S. based office.
Responsibilities
Layout and design of HVAC systems.
Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
Development of final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
Coordination with other disciplines.
Qualifications
At least ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
Proficiency with Revit.
Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
Adaptability to fast‑paced environments with multiple deadlines.
Ability to collaborate with project teams remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
Experience designing plumbing/utility systems.

The base salary range for this position is $102,900.00 to $135,075.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors.
