Coordinate efforts to identify, resolve, and/or mitigate Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) issues on selected bill of materials
Perform trade‑study analysis for obsolescence resolutions including cost‑benefits, lifetime buy benefits, technical data modification effort, system impact, and non‑recurring engineering effort
Canvas manufacturers and vendors for obsolescence information and maintain open, regular communication for proactive identification
Research BOMs and engineering parts lists to develop a comprehensive database
Identify and document critical obsolescence data elements for items that impact longevity of LRUs and piece‑parts
Work with design engineers in selection and application of Electrical, Electronics, Electro‑Mechanical, Electro‑Optical (EEEE) parts including microcircuits, connectors, passive devices, and printed circuit boards
Collaborate with manufacturing and component vendors to resolve qualification, producibility, and test issues with parts and circuit card assemblies
Support Supply Chain with component procurement requirements, supplier selection, and procurement issues
Support Program Subcontractors with EEEE part requirements interpretation and review of Subcontractor Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs)
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment with high expectations and diverse assignments
