Candidates who have been withheld may file an appeal with the State Personnel Board. Applicants with education outside the US must obtain and submit verification of US degree equivalency. Foreign education credential evaluation services are available at NACES. Candidates new to CDCR/CCHCS must submit to a background investigation with Live Scan Fingerprinting and a Tuberculosis test/evaluation prior to appointment, followed by annual TB testing/evaluation. When submitting supporting documents, PDF format is preferred. E-Verify is used to confirm identity and employment authorization.
