About the Manager, Culinary Production Position:
Agency 21 (a21) is seeking an organized team player with a passion for the events and hospitality industry to join our Culinary Event Production team! The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, both oral and written, is able to adapt on the fly, and can prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. The position offers tremendous growth opportunities within a full-service event management, sponsorship and experiential marketing agency that specializes in food and beverage, art, sports and entertainment.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain and follow event planning timelines.
Create check lists, forms and information sheets for event leads and chef talent.
Serve as project lead for food and beverage talent including discussing menu items with chef talent, coordinating equipment needs, planning seated tasting menu event run of shows, researching and compiling food and beverage talent lists, and coordinating planning meetings with chefs, caterers, captains, and front of house staff.
Coordinate pre-event production and logistics for all assigned events including but not limited to, communicating vital information with vendors and exhibitors, compiling rental, printing and disposable orders, cataloging event website updates, researching potential entertainment and talent providers, building floorplans/layouts, and more.
Help execute on-site event setup and day of execution such as serving as point of contact for food and beverage talent, coordinating setup crews, checking in deliveries, coordinating vendor load in and load out, hanging signage, running registration, and managing event talent.
Assist event lead with compiling data such as event sales trends, event ticket sales, ticket holder data, and year over year budget details.
Skills + Qualifications Needed:
4+ years coordinating meetings, appointments or events
4+ years managing client/vendor relationships or direct reports
4+ years working in food & beverage
Experience in project management is a plus
Culinary School or culinary event experience a plus
Office administration and operations experience
Knowledge and passion for the independent food and beverage industry a plus
Education: Associates Degree required, Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
