We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physician's Assistant) specializing in Psychiatry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness. Provide therapy and counseling to patients. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. Monitor and document patient progress and treatment outcomes. Offer education and support to patients and their families. Participate in case conferences and treatment team meetings. Requirements
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) license. Specialization or certification in Psychiatry. Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Empathy and compassion towards patients with mental health challenges. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Schedule: 8-hour day shifts Shifts available at multiple facilities Patient Volume: 150 total, split between providers Patient Population: Geriatrics Duties: Therapy and medication consultation Support Staff: DONs, social workers, and MDs EMR: Carelogic Board certification required Paid travel & expenses
