This full-time, on-site role based in Greater Houston is for a Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of the mechanical maintenance teams for the paper converting lines and general facilities. Day-to-day tasks include supervising maintenance staff, implementing preventive maintenance programs, coordinating equipment maintenance, and ensuring the timely repair of machinery. The role requires efficient organization and management of maintenance resources to ensure operational effectiveness. ***must have maintenance experience in Tissue paper/tissue towel manufacturing industry*** Responsibilities
Maintenance Manager will place emphasis on planning/scheduling, preventative/predictive maintenance, reliability, and spare part availability to optimize equipment availability, minimize unplanned downtime and equipment failures, and maintain functional buildings and grounds Support operational goals and metrics for asset productivity, quality and safety Ensure that safety rules and regulations are well known, understood and applied and equipment meets safety guidelines and regulations Prioritize, plan, and schedule maintenance work efficiently while minimizing maintenance cost and equipment downtime, as well as identify improvement opportunities Initiates, implements and manages the spare parts system to ensure part availability for planned maintenance work and unplanned/emergency repairs Prepares reports, analyzes data, makes recommendations and implements maintenance activities for improving plant operations and solving maintenance related problems Works with other department leaders, Production Schedulers, Project Leaders, Maintenance Engineers to properly prioritize maintenance work and ensure proper maintenance resource allocation for allotted machine downs Initiates and implements programs to track, analyze and improve key maintenance metrics including asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance Strong knowledge of CMMS systems, work order systems and related system/software Required Skills
Bachelors degree (engineering or related fields preferred) Certificates and/or courses related to manufacturing, lean manufacturing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Minimum of 10 years in a Maintenance Manager role with proven ability in maintenance leadership Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Experience in successful preventative maintenance and reliability improvement programs Seniority level
