About the Position The Brain Health Coordinator will coordinate and facilitate Brain Health activities—including StrongerMemory, dementia, and memory programs—across Goodwin Living communities. The role involves training residents, staff, volunteers, and external partners; recruiting and supervising volunteers; and managing data related to program participation and outcomes.
Responsibilities
Facilitate in‑person and virtual Brain Health programming, including StrongerMemory, Memory Cafés, Melody Makers, and Brain Health talks.
Provide dementia and StrongerMemory training to Goodwin Living residents, team members, and external organizations.
Assist the Brain Health Program Manager with outreach to meet the goal of reaching 100,000 participants by 2023.
Collaborate with the Brain Health Program Director to assess needs and develop new training materials or innovative programs.
Train and supervise student volunteers and Brain Health department interns, modeling dementia communication skills and providing interactive resident activities.
Support the Brain Health Director in rolling out new and innovative Brain Health programming and processes.
Collect, track, and manage participation, cognitive screening, and satisfaction data for the Brain Health Program.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Healthcare, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field; or five years of experience working directly with older adults.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Zoom.
Strong interpersonal skills for working tactfully with residents, staff, family members, and the public.
