We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at a facility in Melville, NY. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across a diverse team that includes both office staff and plant operations personnel, ensuring alignment between company objectives and employee needs. This role is essential in driving talent acquisition, employee satisfaction, compliance, and operational excellence across varying environments.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management and Acquisition:
Oversee recruitment strategies for office and plant operations roles, ensuring engagement with diverse hiring pools
Implement employee retention programs to support both office staff and skilled operations workers
Employee Relations:
Act as the primary HR contact for employee concerns; mediate conflicts effectively to maintain a healthy workplace environment.
Ensure consistent communication between office employees and operations staff to support team cohesion and a collaborative culture.
Compliance and Policy Administration:
Develop and update HR policies in alignment with federal, state, and local labor laws.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other regulations relevant to plant operations.
Learning & Development:
Create and manage training programs that address the distinct needs of office staff and plant personnel.
Promote upskilling opportunities to support employee career growth across all departments, keeping company competitive in talent development.
Compensation and Benefits:
Administer competitive salary and benefits programs, applying thoughtful approaches tailored to attract high-caliber candidates in a tight labor market.
Monitor trends to adjust pay structures and communicate growth opportunities.
Strategic HR Leadership:
Collaborate with management to align HR strategies with overall organizational goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, ideally within a mixed environment including office and plant operations.
Solid knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with diverse teams.
Proven ability to manage employee relations effectively at all organizational levels.
