The Azure/AD Systems Administrator provides technical leadership for the comprehensive support of complex Active Directory systems, network and server operating system environments. The administrator performs a wide‑range of system‑related duties, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex directories both on‑prem and in Azure cloud. Key responsibilities include on‑prem and Azure group policy management, user and group management, password/identity technologies, Azure enterprise applications, conditional access, multi‑factor authentication, sites and services, AD trusts, AD backup and disaster recovery. The role requires extensive knowledge of advanced system administration principles, emerging cloud technologies, identity infrastructure, file servers, and AD topologies, as well as a hands‑on approach to supporting AD infrastructure such as e‑mail, storage management, file and print services, DNS, DHCP, host access, AD default tools, network management systems, and backup and disaster recovery services.
Experience Required This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible full‑time experience planning, designing, installing, and maintaining complete systems infrastructure in a centralized IT organization with a high‑availability environment.
Education Required The role requires a bachelor's degree in an IT‑related or engineering field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis.
