Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise‑wide data architecture in support of a major platform replacement initiative. This role will be instrumental in defining the future‑state data architecture and ensuring alignment with broader enterprise architecture goals. The project is in its early stages, offering a unique opportunity to shape foundational data strategies across multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with enterprise architects, systems analysts, and cross‑functional teams to define and document future‑state data architecture.

Design scalable and efficient data models and structures to support ERP systems, with a strong preference for retail environments.

Analyze current data systems and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

Develop data integration strategies and ensure consistency across various workstreams.

Provide technical leadership and guidance on data governance, data quality, and metadata management.

Support long‑term planning and roadmap development for data architecture evolution.

Participate in stakeholder meetings and communicate architectural decisions and impacts clearly.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proven experience as a Data Architect in large‑scale enterprise environments.

Extensive background in designing data models and structures for ERP platforms.

Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data warehousing, and integration technologies.

Experience working in or supporting retail business operations is highly preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Compensation range for position is $162,000 – $180,000 DOE.
