Director – Demand Planning
to support the operational supply chain across datacenters worldwide.
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct the demand planning process company-wide, evangelizing the demand plan with other leaders, and assessing plans to mitigate risks.
Drive data analysis, develop and improve forecasting models, and publish key forecast accuracy metrics.
Ensure demand planning processes scale and prevent part shortage defects; keep inventory at the right place, time, and cost.
Develop strategies to share demand forecasts with vendors and use them to support labor and vendor capacity management, ensuring on‑time delivery of equipment for critical spares while keeping inventory costs low.
Model leadership behavior, coach teams, and create culture; define objectives, enable success, attract and retain talent.
Define and drive process improvements, standardize maturity processes, and lead change management initiatives.
Support product lifecycle management, enabling a flexible demand planning process for new and end‑of‑life products.
Build strong working relationships across sourcing, finance, data center operations, suppliers, and other functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
9+ years of supply chain, inventory management, or sales operations experience (preferably in planning or forecasting) in the cloud industry, infrastructure, data science, or channel management.
2+ years of people‑management experience in a multinational organization with a complex matrix structure.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
12+ years of supply‑chain or forecasting experience in the cloud industry, infrastructure, data science, or channel management.
4+ years of people‑management experience in a multinational organization with a complex matrix structure.
Background Check Requirements
Must meet Microsoft and customer/government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter.
Compensation Base pay range: USD $130,900–$277,200 per year. Different ranges apply to specific work locations in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
