The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP) is the central planning function within CSCP focused on forecasting, demand planning, and supply planning for all Microsoft Cloud services and associated hardware, directly impacting the success of Microsoft’s cloud business.

Responsibilities As an S&OE AI Planner, you will be focused on balancing supply and demand constraints through the Execution Horizon by working cross functionally with data center, engineering, and supply planning / sourcing teams to optimize the plan. This opportunity will allow you to develop deeper business acumen on cloud supply chain, AI, and GPU as you interact across all levels of the organization.

In The S&OE Horizon, You Will

Create the AI-related demand plan in the system and keep it up to date

Coordinate supply supportability inputs to understand if there are any constraints which would impact commits

Create and manage key KPI and OKRs

Program manage large, cross org meetings including readiness for the meeting, execution of it, and follow ups as needed

Perform pre-checks to ensure each demand request has all required prerequisites to enable its seamless execution

Work cross functionally to gather the prerequisites when they’re not completed in advance to keep your demand plan de-risked

Identify highly complex opportunities and gaps in execution and works with product teams to solution

Own the execution of changes to your demand plan as business priorities change

Define data driven metrics to sense risk to your demand plan and use data to make decisionsSupport S&OE transformation efforts across the Cloud Supply Chain

Demonstrate and build experiences across multiple groups or divisions including working with Software and Hardware Engineering to design architecture and integrated solutions to highly complex challenges

Qualifications Required qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

OR equivalent experience.

2+ years experience in program management, process management, process improvement

Other Requirements Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to think, understand, and process information quickly

Cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience

End-to-end supply chain experience (EX: plan, source, make, deliver) and experience working across those various capabilities.

Mindset of continuous improvement and proven capability to synthesize information and draw conclusions

Lean background (belt certifications such as yellow, green or black)

Experience building PowerBIs and/or AI Agents and adopting them into key tasks and processes

Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
