Pharmacy Operations Manager – Walgreens

Responsibilities
Accountable for day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers under pharmacist supervision.
Lead the selection, scheduling, training, performance management and discipline of pharmacy technicians.
Assist pharmacist in patient registration, prescription entry, medication preparation, counting, and verification, and in delivering healthcare services such as vaccines and screenings.
Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, company policies, and accurate record‑keeping, including inventory management, insurance claims handling, and Good Faith Dispensing.
Drive process improvements, new technology roll‑outs, and maintain equipment operation and security safeguards.
Communicate with the pharmacy team and store management, participate in meetings, and share best practices.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (subject to location).
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management or leadership experience.
Previous work experience with Walgreens and an exceeding expectation on last performance evaluation.
