Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Lead Engineer I Join KPMG US as a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Lead Engineer. KPMG is a leading provider of audit, tax and advisory services. This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting VDI environments across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Virtualization Operations and Engineering teams to gather requirements and build or deploy tools for VDI environments.

Provide technical leadership in development, integration, and testing of VDI solutions supporting multiple network enclaves and desktop pools.

Offer input on overall technology strategy, ensuring integration with network security and infrastructure; collaborate with vendors.

Design, upgrade, test, and modify the VDI environment based on capacity and utilization; troubleshoot system/network faults.

Give expert guidance to support teams, ensuring quality and performance targets are met; deliver root cause analysis.

Build configuration management, service and inventory provisioning, process automation, and self‑service tools; train team members.

Act with integrity and professionalism, upholding KPMG’s respectful workplace.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of recent experience supporting and engineering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.

Background with CVAD architecture and best practices for non‑persistent and persistent environments including Citrix Provisioning (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).

Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Knowledge of profile management technologies (Ivanti UWM, FSLogix), Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi, Citrix Director/Monitor, ControlUp.

Experience with Citrix Cloud, Citrix DaaS, Azure, AWS, or GCP; familiarity with Citrix ADC and networking to support VDI connectivity.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; scripting and automation experience (PowerShell) preferred.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
