Position Title:
HR Consultant
Location:
San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Contract Duration:
6 months
Hourly Rate:
$60–$85/hr
This consulting role supports a dynamic HR team during a period of strategic planning and systems transition. The consultant will lead key operational cycles and help document internal processes in preparation for a new enterprise platform implementation. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HR professional with experience managing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and guide the annual performance cycle, including planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment
Lead quarterly and annual HR programs such as recognition, merit reviews, and wellness initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations, reporting requirements, and safety protocols
Partner with payroll, benefits, and systems teams to support open enrollment and other cyclical processes
Document and streamline HR workflows and policies in preparation for a platform migration
Provide strategic input on process improvements and policy updates
Foster a culture of trust, equity, and responsiveness across the organization
Ensure consistent and respectful employee support through high‑touch service delivery
Manage a team of 5 direct reports, including HR Coordinators and Generalists
Serve as a resource and mentor to junior team members
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive HR experience, including team management
Strong background in employee relations, compliance, and operational HR
Experience leading performance management cycles and HR program delivery
Familiarity with enterprise systems (Oracle or similar platforms preferred)
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving priorities
