U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) – a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants are ineligible to apply. Qualifications

United States Citizenship (non‑citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy) Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a VA‑approved school Current full and unrestricted medical or surgical license in any U.S. state, territory, Commonwealth or the District of Columbia Completed residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty program leading to eligibility for board certification (ACGME, AOA, or other approved residencies with at least five years of U.S. practice) Residents in an ACGME/AOA‑accredited program who meet the basic requirements may be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs) on an intermittent or fee‑basis Proficiency in spoken and written English Preferred Experience: Neuroradiology or Nuclear Medicine Physical requirements: meet the physical standards for the position; requires a physical examination and ability to lift 15‑44 pounds, walk/stand 3‑5 hours, perform coordinated movements, and have depth perception and color discrimination Drug‑testing position; must pass random testing for illegal drug use Responsibilities

Interpret and perform a wide range of imaging radiological interpretations and procedures including CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, sonography, and imaging‑guided interventional procedures. Work the scheduled or emergency imaging workload as directed by Medical Staff and its Branch Clinics. Coordinate scheduling for procedures through Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Room sections of the VA treatment facilities. Lead and direct all supporting employees during performance of procedures. Refer patients to other staff physicians for continuation of care as needed. Ensure quality and timeliness of reports for interpreted or performed procedures. Maintain diagnostic examinations quality and record statistical workload data. Participate in medical education programs, clinical staff boards, committees, and the Department’s Quality Assurance Program. Adhere to the open continuous announcement; initial referral cut‑off date October 14, subsequent cut‑offs every 2 weeks; ongoing acceptance of qualified candidates. Other duties as assigned. Pay Range

$350,000.00/yr – $400,000.00/yr Seniority Level
