Overview

Human Resources Coordinator for Academic Affairs – University of South Carolina Upstate, Spartanburg, SC. Serves as a liaison for the USC Upstate Provost’s Office with the USC Upstate Human Resources office, College Deans, and Department Chairs to ensure timely and accurate support for academic units, in accordance with Academic Affairs policies, the Faculty Manual, Human Resources policies and procedures, and state and federal regulations. Advertised Salary:

$49,396; Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and 2 or more years of job-related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience in a higher education setting is strongly preferred. A successful background check is required. Ability to interpret policies and procedures and communicate effectively to administration, staff, faculty, and students. Ability to plan and coordinate vital administrative functions; ability to be proactive and meet deadlines. Ability to train others of various levels of experience. High-level user of Microsoft Office and Adobe applications. Thorough understanding of Academic Affairs operations and policies; broad understanding of human resources principles and how to apply them to an academic setting. Use discretion when dealing with confidential information; develop and cultivate positive and beneficial relationships with human resources staff and other offices on campus and on the main campus.
