Overview
Admissions Counselor Recruiter, University of South Carolina Upstate, Spartanburg, SC (STA00829PO25).
The primary purpose of this position is to recruit students, assist with reviewing and processing admissions applications, provide campus tours/student interviews and participate in special events for student recruitment.
Responsibilities
Recruit students to USC Upstate and represent the university at events and campus activities.
Assist with reviewing and processing admissions applications.
Provide campus tours and conduct student interviews as part of the recruitment process.
Participate in special events for student recruitment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and 1+ years of job-related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job-related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Master’s degree in Student Services or related field, or bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience. Prefer knowledge of USC Upstate campus and programs.
A valid driver’s license is required.
A successful background check and a good driving record are required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Organized and detail oriented with dependable follow-through.
Must be able to interact and build relationships with representatives of the community as well as faculty and staff at USC Upstate locations.
