Harris County Precinct 3 is responsible for the maintenance of over 6,800 miles of roadways, 72 parks, and 10 community centers. Position Description
This position is a Community Center Administrator for Precinct 3. The role serves as the public’s first point of contact for the community center, interacting with constituents via in‑person visits, telephone, and email. What you will do at Harris County Precinct 3
You will manage calls, emails, and reservation requests, entering data and maintaining accurate records in the Precinct 3 data system. You will collaborate within a team to support constituents and connect them to needed resources. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Field phone calls, email inquiries, and other digital inquiries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner. Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism and sincerity, protecting constituent privacy and confidentiality. Upload events, classes, programs, and constituent inquiries into the customer database in coordination with other departments. Communicate with department staff to clarify discrepancies, obtain necessary approvals, and inform the public or interested parties of outcomes. Maintain accurate notes of all constituent interactions (calls, texts, chat, etc.) according to operating policies and procedures. Develop and maintain a sound working knowledge of workflow processes and systems, including call transfer protocols and familiarity with local, regional, and statewide resources. Education
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited college or university. Experience
One (1) year of customer service, administrative, and computer experience. Licensure
Valid Texas Driver’s License upon hire with a good driving record. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent customer service skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal communication. Proficiency with internet-based programs and ability to learn new technical skills. Empathy and patience. Exceptional listening, problem‑solving, and conflict‑resolution skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptability to change within a growing system. Occasional room setup (must be able to lift 50 pounds). NOTE
