Job Description Job Title:
Frosh‑Soph/JV Coach
Supervisor:
Athletic Director, under direction of site principal
Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques for the specific sport.
Demonstrate successful personality and character traits appropriate to educational leadership.
Organize and run practices.
Collaborate with varsity head coach and/or Athletic Director to design conditioning programs.
Maintain and follow district guidelines and policies; manage cash handling and equipment inventory as delegated.
Communicate positively with players, parents, administrators, staff and students.
Instill commitment, discipline, teamwork, and help students balance academics and athletics.
Work cooperatively with all coaches within the sport program.
Follow CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct, BVAL policies, district protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
Playing experience in the specific sport at high school, collegiate, amateur or professional level.
Experience coaching youth leagues, middle school, or sports camp in the same sport, or equivalent experience.
Current State of California coaching certifications.
Annual mandated reporter training.
Pass District Fingerprint clearance.
Professional references.
Requirements Applicants must complete the Edjoin online application and submit a cover letter and resume. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results, valid CPR, First Aid, ASEP, SCA, Heat Illness Prevention, Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Prevention, Integrated Pest Management, and Concussion certifications prior to employment. Coaching of second team conditions noted.
Other Information Please note that compensation is conditional on lifting restrictions and the team's authorized participation in the Fall, Winter, and Spring sports seasons.
