Our ideal candidate will have specialty product expertise and an understanding of market complexities to promote our products to stakeholders in primary care and neurology settings. As an Account Manager, you lead the promotion of our psychiatry portfolio, executing sales and marketing strategies with comprehensive clinical knowledge to drive sales performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Business Planning & Account Leadership
– Use digital tools and data-based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy & tactics, allocate resources, monitor progress and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.
Selling
– Deliver clear, compelling messages to customers, probe needs, handle objections, and close every call with a commitment to action.
Customer Development
– Build and maintain productive internal and external relationships based on customer needs.
Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise
– Gather and validate market trends, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover unique opportunities.
Reimbursement
– Stay informed on reimbursement dynamics and address payer access issues for IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Pharmaceutical Environment & Compliance
– Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical and regulatory environments, ensuring adherence to Lundbeck policies and FDA regulations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences degree from an accredited college or university.
2‑5 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales or related healthcare sales experience.
Demonstrated ability to score highly on product training exams, including annual certification.
Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills.
Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced team environment.
Proven analytical problem‑solving skills.
Data analysis and computer proficiency to develop short‑ and long‑term goals aligned with business objectives.
Must live within 40 miles of territory boundaries.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driving is essential.
Compliance with credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and customer facilities.
Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move items up to 25 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Recent documented experience selling to general practitioners and primary care centers.
Experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products.
Experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions).
TRAVEL
Willingness/ability to travel 30‑40% domestically to meet customer and internal stakeholders and attend conferences and meetings.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $108,000 to $125,000 with an eligible sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off, medical, dental and vision coverage, company‑match 401(k), company car, and additional benefits. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis.
