Summary Are you a results‑driven biopharmaceutical sales professional looking to join a global company dedicated to brain health? Lundbeck has 70+ years of experience in neuroscience and is focused on psychiatric and neurological disorders. We seek a dynamic, sales‑driven Account Manager who can promote our psychiatry portfolio and navigate a rapidly changing market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Planning & Account Leadership – use digital tools and data‑based insights to create opportunities, develop strategy, allocate resources, monitor progress, and adjust direction to maximize sales performance.

Selling – deliver clear, compelling messages, probe customer needs, manage objections, and close calls with actionable commitments to drive behavioral change.

Customer Development – build and maintain productive internal and external relationships, incorporating “total office” account management where applicable.

Local Market & Therapeutic Area Expertise – gather and validate market trends, map account linkages, and apply therapeutic knowledge to uncover and prioritize unique opportunities.

Reimbursement – stay informed on reimbursement dynamics, anticipate payer challenges across IDNs, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial, and address access issues using Lundbeck resources.

Pharmaceutical Environment/Compliance – apply knowledge of the pharmaceutical and regulatory environment, uphold Lundbeck policies, and comply with FDA regulations regarding product promotion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Sciences from an accredited college or university.

2–5 years of pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biologics, medical device sales, or related healthcare sales experience.

High performance on disease and product training exams, including annual product knowledge certification.

Self‑starter with strong work ethic, tenacity, and outstanding communication skills.

Adaptability – embrace change and collaborate in a fast‑paced team environment.

Problem‑solving – proven analytical skills to identify solutions and overcome obstacles.

Data analysis – strong computer and technical skills for data analysis and goal setting aligned with business objectives.

Must live within 40 miles of the territory boundaries.

Driver’s license with a safe driving record; driving is an essential duty.

Compliance with industry‑standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers/customer facilities.

Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and move items up to 25 lbs. (with reasonable accommodations).

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Recent documented success selling to general practitioners and primary care centers.

Prior experience promoting and detailing CNS/neuroscience products.

Experience working with alliance partners (e.g., co‑promotions).

TRAVEL

Willingness/ability to travel 30–40% domestically to meet customers, attend conferences, and participate in internal/external meetings.

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $108,000–$125,000 with a sales incentive target of $39,000. Benefits include flexible paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401k company match, and a company car.
