Zurich North America . Zurich is hiring a Claims Specialist I to join their Auto Claims Team. This role involves interpreting, investigating, and evaluating auto policies and coverage issues, as well as claims handling and best practices. You will manage auto liability property damage and comparative negligence losses, handling both comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage claims. You will own your assigned claims from end to end, resolving claims according to best practices, and build partnerships with customers and brokers. Zurich North America Claims emphasizes work-life balance and flexibility with a hybrid work model. Occasional in-office attendance may be required. The candidate should be able to report to one of these North American Claims offices: Atlanta, GA; Addison, TX; Schaumburg, IL; or Omaha. Responsibilities
Interpret, investigate, and evaluate auto policies and coverage issues. Handle auto claims including comprehensive/collision and auto liability property damage. Own assigned claims end to end and resolve them according to best practices. Build partnerships with customers and brokers to support service excellence. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance OR Completion of Zurich Claims Training Program with 2+ years of experience OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 2+ years of experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of experience in Claims or Insurance Prior auto claims handling or related customer service experience; understanding of auto policies, coverage, and state regulations Must obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses Customer service experience Knowledge of insurance regulations, markets and products Preferred Qualifications
Insurance industry terminology 3+ years handling auto and property damage claims, including comprehensive/collision Analytical and organizational skills; ability to multi-task Strong communication skills; adaptable to changing environments Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is influenced by location, role, skills, and experience. The nationwide salary range for this position is
$48,600.00 - $79,500.00 , with a
10%
short-term incentive bonus. Local geographic differentials may apply. Zurich provides a comprehensive employee benefits package and Total Rewards information is available for more details. Additional Details
